Really sorry for the slow reply – we were away during the holidays.
Thanks for your patience and for sharing those details.
From what you described, it sounds different from how the product should work. The relay is supposed to shut off completely after the motor stops at either end. We’re always optimizing this, and sometimes small differences in setup can affect it.
To look into this more closely, I just sent you a private message. Would you mind sharing your email address so we can help you better?
I am a big fun of Sonoff and most of my smart home devices are from Sonoff.
I’ve ordered a pair of mini-zbrbs to see how good they are before I equip all windows in the house. Currently I’m using curtain switches from Lolatap. They have the issue with not fully opening curtain, if it was closed partially several times. The exact issue mini-zbrbs claims to solve.
Looking into the documentation of mini-zbrbs, it looks like two important functions are not yet available.
Is there a way to reset the device and enter pairing mode using wall switches? For example with zbminir2 (I have a lot of them) we can toggle the wall switch five times within several seconds to activate pairing mode.
How to do calibration using zigbee2mqtt? After reset and rejoin (see above) we need to recalibrate.
I’m aware that the both functions can be achieved using the device button. That’s not a viable option however when you have a lot of these devices in the house and there is an issue with the server requiring repairing of many devices. I don’t want to open all the boxes. I haven’t got such issues fortunately, but I’d prefer to be prepared.
Are there any plans to implement these two missing functions in the firmware? Any timeline on this?
Currently, I find myself with the same drawback, as my home automation system is based on Homey Pro. Since no application offers official support for ZB-RBS and ZB-DIM on such a platform, I am forced to perform manual calibration, which generates erratic behavior. Despite following the official SONOFF tutorials on YouTube, I can’t make it work the same way. Could it be that we’re making a mistake? Or, perhaps, we are not the ones who are wrong, but we have opted for the wrong brand and ecosystem. I’m a fan of Sonoff ZB devices and I also have a Sonoff iHost… please Help!
After almost a year everything remains the same!!!
Incredible, I bought them again and instead of changing them all, I only changed the room that is least used.
And I had to go back to the Dual R3, my idea was to have everything by zigbee and I only need the blinds.
Now once I open the blind, the ZB-RBS is still powered for 2 minutes!
Incredible!
Is it so difficult to take that time away?
The blind has already gone up so leave the engine and the relay 2 more minutes
The worst thing is that at that moment if I want to lower the blind my button does not respond I have to press again.
I don’t know why these things happen, it’s frustrating that a wired button doesn’t respond to the pulses and you don’t know if you can open it, stop it or close the blind, it’s random, when I want to close the blind I’m scared since I don’t know what’s going to happen.
It is already removed and I have returned to the Dual R3 I close the blind and a few seconds later the engine is no longer powered, be careful if the internal end of the engine fails with an ZB-RBS will destroy the blind, with the dual R3 this does not happen because it only leaves 2 seconds with power.
I don’t think they’ll solve it, it’s been almost a year and I see that everything is still the same!
