Mini R4 problem opening garage door

I’m experiencing issues with my new Mini R4 switches.

I’ve connected terminals S1 and S2 to my garage door opener. Testing the connection by shorting S1 and S2 manually successfully opens the door.

The Mini R4 is powered with 220V AC connected to N and L-In, and S1 and S2 are wired to the garage door opener.

In the eWeLink app, I’ve configured the following settings:

  • Switch Mode: Pulse
  • Inching Setting: 1 second
  • Status: Auto-off
  • Power-on State: Off

When I activate the switch, I hear a click, but the garage door doesn’t respond.

I would appreciate any assistance you can provide. Thank you in advance.

terminals S1 and S2 are used to connect an external switch, not to connect the controlled device to it, that is terminal l out. that click is a relay that supplies 230v power to terminal l out

can you make a diagram of your wiring?

I have understood that S1 and S2 acts as a dry-contact which should be activated (connected) when I click the mini R4.

I have connected the S1 and S2 to my garage port which will open if I connect S1 and S2 manually, only it does not work when I click the switch. N and L-in is connected to 220 volt.

I really do not understand why it does not work.

Perhaps you are right that I can only connect a external switch to S1 and S2. Maybe I need another device to do what i need.

King regards, Thorben.

Instead of the light shown, you can put a gate drive, but it depends on what system you have, you will probably need a device that has two channels for the open and closed direction. For example, Sonoff Dual R3

I understand now. Thank you so much for your help.

Thorben

good luck.
