# Thread/matter firmware on a Sonoff dongle plus E/P

Is there any plan to allow the Sonoff Dongle E (or maybe P but I’m not clear if is possible as I’ve read both) to be a thread device?  
I have a Dongle Plus P that runs Zigbee2MQTT but could buy a Dongle E for less than the SkyConnect dual Zigbee/Matter dongle from Raspberry Pi and it has the same chip as the Dongle E. If you look online you can find people turning their Dongle E into joint Zigbee and Matter/thread but that isn’t what I was wondering. I’m happy with the dongle I have already for Zigbee.
