I dream of a device that would:

1. Be battery-powered regardless of the battery type. It can be AA, AAA, or CR2477.

2. If battery-powered is not possible, then POE or USB power can be used.

3. Be small and lightweight enough to be easily mounted on a wall or in a cabinet.

4. Have Zigbee or Wi-Fi connectivity.

5. Have dry contacts.

6. Have three, switchable, two-pair paths.

7. Be capable of transmitting both DC current and digital data on the same cable.

8. Be capable of transmitting 30-40VDC via a relay.

Something similar to the SONOFF RE5V1C, but much more advanced.

Relay switch… For passively switching two source wires between one of the two outputs.

Perhaps something like this already exists from another manufacturer?

points 1,2,3 and 4 have .POE only when using the dongle m. I think they are working on point 5.

The function is called data over powerline. It is impractical when it comes to installing it in a finished house. You need to prepare it when installing the electrical lines.

What I need to achieve if I had to use Sonoff would look like this… six RE5V1Cs.

 ![sonoff2](https://europe1.discourse-cdn.com/flex005/uploads/ewelinkforum/original/2X/3/3aeac91a7693fb16efda13498116c520219d852e.jpeg)

Absolutely messy… a ton of wiring, occupied space, and the need to power six of them.

What I need is a passive switch at the lowest level, meaning the wires themselves can be switched.

The gate always remains open for the +/- and performs two-way communication and transmits current.

Device 1 should be open for both +/-, but only when Device 2 is 100% closed, and vice versa.

Both devices being open at the same time will cause a major problem.

You can think of it as three two-wire cables that you cut and splice… one pair: Gate + Device 1, and another: Gate + Device 2.

It will never work in this connection. There is no way to close the current and it will not work even through parasitic power supply.

If this is true, then this Sonoff isn’t capable of 100% open circuit and is leaking.

I need something that ensures 100% disconnection and connection, just as if you physically separated the wires.

That’s why I dream of such a device. It could be described as a physical switch for wire pairs.
It’s completely feasible for Sonoff to produce. It would be only slightly more complex than SWV or TRVZB.
Both operate on the principle of moving a physical part in a specific way.
I need something similar, but with physical electrical contact and the lowest possible attenuation.

It would be an automatic device, no different from your hand.
Imagine two sockets and one plug, and you sometimes plug A into B, and sometimes plug A into C.
B and C are completely physically isolated from each other and should never meet. A should never be connected to B and C simultaneously.
B and C have no power supply of their own; they are completely passive and powered by A.

There are various mechanical switches/buttons on the market that do exactly this, but my dream is a nice, compact box with eWeLink integration.

You didn’t think to use a relay, you can achieve that there

Of course, I considered this, along with a ton of other ideas. It’s just that it’s all deep DIY, not a pretty off-the-shelf box. 🙂 And finally, it would be nice if eWeLink could handle it.

I know, but it can only be solved if the solution is liked, I don’t know.

My other wishes and dreams include a ZigBee map in the app/web, regardless of the bridge used.

ZigBee signal strength displayed in the web, just like in the app.

Better optimization of the Android app. On older devices, it takes a long time to start, and the operation itself isn’t super fast either.
