Hello, I have several Sonoff motion and presence sensors and I want to use them with iHost as an alarm system, but I don’t know what to do to get notified on my cell phone if there is an intrusion. Any ideas? Should I use Alexa instead?

Your need is easier to achieve via eWeLink Cloud with ZBBridge-P/U instead of the local hub iHost.

Using iHost’s Matter Bridge with other platforms like Google Home/Alexa/ST/Apple would be an easy approach.

You can also use Node-Red or other services, sending notifications to your message bot in apps like Telegram/What’s App. But that needs more learning.

Thanks, I have everything connected via Matter bridge/Homebridge to Alexa and HomeKit, but those apps doesn’t have security modes (at least not in my country). I think I’ll have to reinstall my ZB-Bridge to see what I can do. The issue is that there I can’t make use of my entire ecosystem (siren, bulbs, etc.) to create more complex routines

In this case the best path to follow would be Node-Red. If I’m not mistaken you can create an alarm entity in it and export it to Alexa, I’m not sure for the Apple ecosystem!

Thank you very much, I will research that option further.

I recommend Node-red for interaction with Alexa. It has a learning curve but for me it’s been worth it.
There are Alexa skills that allow you to control virtual devices on Node-red (ie iHost) although I like the node-red-contrib-alexa-remote2-applestrudel node which can be coded to make Alexa announce to you anything you want.👌
