It does not manufacture lighting equipment. Even the name is spelled differently, presumably to avoid legal trouble. They might just as well have inscribed it with words like ‘Phelips’ or ‘Leadvance’.
Wow. I wasnt` expecting such a comprehensive answer… Thank You.
Unfortunatelly I dont have advance plan to use webhook and moreover Im not familiar with sequematic at all
It looks like it is too much for me ,but I will look for more information about it
Do You have some examples how to create sequence and to combine with eWeLink?
I regret that eWeLink “dimming”&“brighting” bulb doesn`t work, there is not even a place to set the value of dimming…
I wonder why this option even appeared in the application if it is useless?
If you can afford it, consider buying a plan. It will give you a little more room to maneuver.
As for https://sequematic.com, it’s free and if you play around a bit, it’s not complicated at all. You can link your ewelink account there even without a paid plan, but you still won’t have a webhook on the ewelinlk side.
You can control devices there, but there’s no brightness option there either, just the usual on/off.
Because on the sequ side we have a webhook and we can send values from ewelink to sequ this way. Only the other way around is a problem.
PS
I agree that the lack of an option to change the brightness % per action is a huge oversight by the devs.
The fact that we have to do it with many scenes based on a given % is weak.
There should be an option that will perform + or - for % from the current one every time it is initiated. Currently, you can only rigidly define a specific %, which means that you can’t do scenes like + and - in a simple way.
Apart from those that are officially available, I don’t think there will be more.
I recommend you play around and do what I wrote about earlier. Even without a paid plan, create the first part of the puzzle to practice. And instead of the final webhook, use the regular device on/off control to test if the whole thing works for you.
When will scenes with “Push Notifications” be editable in eWeLink WEB? If “Push…” scenes do not contain them, they can be edited, otherwise there is only a notification “Scene not support”.
Hi there, thanks for your question. The reason push notification scenes are not supported in eWeLink WEB is that push notifications are sent to phone, which requires the eWeLink app to have notification permissions enabled during the creation process. Since this step cannot be completed on the WEB version, we currently do not have plans to support creating this type of scene on eWeLink WEB.
I understand that PUSH is sent to the phone, that’s why I use it, but I don’t understand why already created scenes can’t be edited on the WEB. The functionality of the scene would be the same and PUSH would still only go to the phone, it just wouldn’t limit the use of the WEB for editing.
I understand your point. Currently, the logic behind the scene management in eWeLink WEB is that if a scene type is not supported for creation, it also cannot be edited. However, I’ll make sure to pass your feedback to our internal team to see if we can optimize this in the future.
