the new presence sensor like SNZB-06P will be supported in next update.
for the plan about map, we’re doing some research.
I can’t customize the background. I need help.
Thank you. I figured this out. The question is where to get the url link? Perhaps this needs to be done via a computer? I tried everything through the tablet, nothing works.
You need to copy and paste the url. And where… it depends on where you download the graphic file from, some web server.
For example, I am posting this file here, you can do a test and copy this url and paste it into this field.

In my opinion, there should be an option to add from a local computer, but it probably doesn’t work or is not planned…
At least on firefox 127.0.1 It only want to generate a password in this field and not select the local contents of the disk.
At least that’s how I understand the description about the url, so far only providing the url is possible. ![]()
thanks for the detailed answer!!! This method is kind of idiotic, to be honest. All my files (desktop backgrounds) that I like have been downloaded a long time ago and are on my tablet or phone. And I thought that it was possible to install it from mobile devices. In “smart things” I installed the background from the phone’s memory and there were no problems. The ewelink approach is not clear at all!!!
Maybe use some file hosting for now.

That was the plan at first, but after some calculations, assuming a user uploads 1 image of 2M, that’s a terabyte of traffic even if only one image is retained at the current user base, which is growing geometrically with the number of CAST dashboards (up to 10 CAST dashboards are now available), and that’s a lot of cost according to the AWS tariffs.
Hey, like i posted above, the CAST web version is based on the web while no space/ cache file to store background pictures, it’s not the same as the mobile phones or computer which have its own flash/disk.
some tips to get image url:
- Search for the image theme you want on https://images.google.com/ , click on an image and right click on it, select ‘Copy image address’
if you’re on a phone, long press the image instead.
- Search for ‘image hosting’ on Google, some websites allow you to upload images and get the image urls.
- Store your image on a Github repository.
- Post your image here (eWeLink Forum), click on it to zoom, and right click on it you’ll see ‘Copy image address’ (try click on image above)
Most of the url start with http(s) and end with picture format, like https:xxxxx.jpg
Copy and paste the image url to the CAST settings - custom background.
I understand correctly ? If the image that I inserted into the cast panel is deleted from the site from which I took the image, will it also disappear from the panel? And I also ask for one more improvement. make the step of moving the tiles smaller, by 2-3mm. Now the tiles move by about a whole centimeter, which in turn takes up a lot of space.
That’s right. another way to store your image is to post it on social media like Facebook and Twitter, you can right click on a public image to get image address.
do you mean the tile spacing below?

Yes. the distance between the tiles both vertically and horizontally. Whatever can be done is not too close and not too far. But if ewelink still plans to release a “home map,” then all this is not necessary. I will immediately switch to the “map” as it is much more convenient!!!
Buy the cheapest web hosting, any cheap one, and store the graphic files there… It can also be a regular free hosting.
I know this is a bit of a weird solution when it comes to wanting to use a background graphic file, but what can I do…
To clarify… Do all CAST app/web use an external source or can the app version also use a file from the local device?
CAST App is able to use local images, technically, but the challenge here is how to be consistent with web CAST, consider this, a relatively way to do this is to create a personal web album that is not publicly available, e.g. to Google drive.
let me know any idea or concern you have.
I was told by some users that they have configured very nice and fitting image backgrounds from Pexels, and if nothing else, Pexels is indeed a good resource for background images!
There are lots of free image hosting platforms. Even GitHub can overkill the job
I would leave synchronization up to the user. ![]()
please tell me why Spotify may not be displayed? Perhaps this requires a paid subscription to Spotify? The iframe was copied as shown in the video, but nothing is displayed except the link itself. Just letters, numbers and signs. Tried to insert an iframe link here for your review, but it doesn’t show up here.
