Hi everyone,

While the Sonoff SwitchMan M5 (especially 2-gang and 3-gang versions) has a sleek, minimalist design, its completely flat, wide button surface makes it tricky to identify which button you’re touching in the dark or without looking.

I came up with a very simple and effective DIY solution: Staggered Clear Bumper Pads.

The DIY Fix:

Instead of applying small clear self-adhesive silicone bumpers in a straight line, I arranged them in a diagonal/staircase pattern (left button at the bottom, middle button in the center, right button at the top). The moment your finger touches a pad, the vertical height instantly tells your muscle memory whether you’re on Channel 1, 2, or 3—no guessing needed. Being transparent, they don’t block the LED indicators.

📢 Feature Request for the Sonoff / ITEAD Product Team:

Based on this real-world experience, I would love to see Sonoff integrate tactile feedback directly from the factory in future revisions (e.g., M5 V2 or future SwitchMan series):

Molded Micro-Textures / Braille Dots: Adding subtle micro-dots, raised textures, or slight height offsets directly onto the plastic injection molds would cost virtually nothing in mass production while vastly improving blind-touch ergonomics.

Built-in Accessibility: Adding built-in tactile markers out of the box would make Sonoff switches significantly more user-friendly and accessible for everyone.

Do you think Sonoff should consider built-in tactile features for their next switch lineup? Let me know your thoughts!
