Hello,

Running Home Assistat OS version 16.3 on Ihost.

Cannot install Zigbee to mqtt add on. Addon is added from repositories and it is show. But when trying to install it I get message: This add-on is not compatible with the processor of your device or the operating system you have installed on your device.

I saw on Youtube customers succesfully add this addon to Ihost, but I cannot do it.

Tried to update zigbee adapter firmware to latest version. No luck

My Ihost version is 2G. On facebook group there is another user who cannot install this add on on His 4G version Ihost

What am I doing wrong?

Don’t worry, we can help you solve the issue. Please allow us some time to prepare a working Zigbee2MQTT add-on for you.

Hello,

Thanks for your question. This behavior is expected, and you’re not doing anything wrong.

**Why this happens**
The official Zigbee2MQTT project has **dropped support for 32-bit architectures**.

**Our solution**
To address this, we have **forked a lower version of Zigbee2MQTT that still supports 32-bit architectures** and are maintaining it in our own repository specifically for iHost users.

You can use it by following these steps:

1. Go to **Home Assistant → Add-on Store**

2. Click **More (⋮)** in the top-right corner → select **Repositories**

3. Add the following repository URL:

4. Return to the Add-on Store and install the **Zigbee2MQTT add-on** from our repository

After that, Zigbee2MQTT will work normally on iHost.

**Future plans**
Going forward, we will continue to add and maintain important add-ons that no longer support 32-bit architectures in the official Home Assistant ecosystem, so they can still be used on iHost devices.

If you have suggestions or requests for other add-ons, feel free to let us know.
Thanks for your support and understanding!

And one more question: do I need to upgrade IHost zigbee module firmware to some higher version from default installed in Ihost?

It’s better to upgrade the firmware of the built-in MG21 chip to `v8.0.2`. After you’ve done that, you will need to use `ember` instead of `ezsp` for the Zigbee2MQTT adapter setting.
